Pop Cans Hurled At Transports

Provincial police are looking for suspects after full cans of pop were thrown at moving transport trucks near Tavistock.

Oxford OPP say, since March 29, there have been three separate incidents on Perth-Oxford Rd. of cans of pop intentionally being thrown at big rigs from a passing vehicle. The most recent incident happened around 7:19am on Wednesday. The two previous reports happened in the evening.

The windshields of all three transports were shattered or cracked by the cans and one of the truckers had to go to hospital to have glass removed from his eye.

Police say the incidents could have had serious or fatal consequences and are asking all motorists in the area of Perth-Oxford Rd. to drive with care and report any suspicious behaviour.
