Police Investigating Package Thief Video

London police are looking into a video that appears to show a woman stealing a package from a front porch in the city.

The video, titled "The Amazon Bandit" and posted to Reddit and YouTube, shows a woman riding a bike up a driveway, then walking to the front door where she picks up a package and puts it in her backpack. The woman then gets back on her bike the leaves.

It's not clear what street the house is on, although it is believed to be in north London.

A police spokesperson said officers are investigating.

In the meantime, police are offering tips on how to avoid being victimized by this type of theft.

"London police would like to take this opportunity to remind members of public to ensure that any and all deliveries are properly secured upon delivery, and not left on the front step," police said in a statement released Monday. "If you are not at home when the item is delivered, ensure that the sender knows to deliver it to a neighbouring residence or to leave it at a post office box, where it can be picked up at a later time."
