Airsoft Pistol Toting Teen Charged

A 16-year-old London boy is facing some serious charges after allegedly bringing an airsoft pistol to an east-end school.

London police arrested a teenager not far from Clarke Road Secondary School on Tuesday morning, after a student was spotted on school property with what appeared to be a gun. Officers quickly determined the weapon was an airsoft pistol and that no one had been hurt during the incident.

The school was placed under a lockdown as a safety precaution for roughly ten minutes. In an online statement to parents, the school's principal commended staff and students for following safety procedures.

Police announced on Wednesday, a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be identified because of his age, has since been charged with uttering death threats and possession of a dangerous weapon.
