Crystal Meth, Cocaine Found During Traffic Stop

A traffic stop in St. Thomas ended with a London man being charged with drug offences.

St. Thomas police pulled a vehicle over for speeding and having a busted headlight on Burwell Rd. around 10:20pm on Tuesday. Police say the vehicle's driver, a 31-year-old London man, had alcohol on his breath. He was handed a three day license suspension after being given a roadside test.

The vehicle's passenger was arrested when police opened the door to find a small bag of suspected cocaine on the floor. A search of the vehicle turned up a second bag, this one containing crystal meth.

The passenger, a 53-year-old London man, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and breach of probation.
