Train Passenger Airlifted To Hospital

An investigation has been launched after a 35-year-old woman went missing from a train and was later found seriously injured.

Middlesex OPP say they were called about a missing female around 9:27pm Friday night. She was on a westbound VIA Rail passenger train, just west of London.

Emergency response units along with the canine unit searched the area for the missing woman.

Police say the 35-year-old from Etobicoke was found near Appin, Ontario. She was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
