Charge Laid In LTC Sexual Assault

A 42-year-old London man is now charged after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman on an LTC bus.

And police are still looking for other potential victims.

A woman called police after she was inappropriately touched by a man while on the 17A bus around 7:30am last Friday.

According to police, video footage from the London Transit Commission appears to show a man sexually assaulting other women throughout his two hour bus ride. The man boarded the bus in Byron just before 7am, according to police.

On Thursday, police announced that Gregory Botting is charged with one count of sexual assault. He is to appear in court May 15.

"Investigators in the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section are encouraging any potential witnesses or victims who rode this bus on Friday, April 28 between 7am and 9am to contact of the London Police Service at 519-661-5670," said Constable Sandasha Bough in a statement released by police.

Police also released video taken from the bus (bus surveillance video starts at 1:08 mark.)
