Lightning Crush A's In Game 1

The London Lightning made short work of the Orangeville A's with a 117-87 victory on Thursday, in Game 1 of the Central Division semi-final series.

The Lightning took a big 15 point lead in the first quarter and continued to hammer away at the A's to make it 68-28 at halftime.

London increased their lead yet again in the third frame to hold a 44 point lead heading into the fourth. Orangeville gained a little ground in the final quarter, but London's massive advantage kept them safely in the lead.

Royce White finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists for London, while Ryan Anderson put up another 18 points.

The Lightning lead the best-of-five series 1-0.

The two teams return to Budweiser Gardens on Saturday for Game 2.  Tip off is at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
