Drowning In Pond North Of London

Police are urging the public to avoid waterways after a drowning in a pond north of London.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday around 5:25pm, officers were called to a pond area, north of Medway Rd. in Arva, after a male was found without vital signs. Police say he was was using a jet ski in the pond prior to his death.

The name and age of the male have not been released, and next kin is currently being notified.

Police say the death is not considered suspicious in nature.

The OPP are reminding the public to stay clear of waterways, as water levels remain very high due to consistent rain.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
