Collision Sends Cyclist To Hospital

A 40-year-old man from Dutton Dunwich has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, after he was hit by a passing vehicle.

Elgin County OPP say the 40-year-old man was riding a bicycle on Dunborough Rd, near Silver Clay Line Saturday morning when he was struck.

It's believed that the collision happened sometime between 4:15am and 5:04am.

Police say the unknown vehicle didn't stay at the scene of the collision. The male cyclist was found by a passing motorist.

Dunborough Rd. between Thompson Line and Silver Clay Line was closed for several hours Saturday morning for police investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
