Pilot Killed In Oxford County Plane Crash

Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a plane crash in Blandford Blenheim Township that has killed one person.

OPP say they were called about a missing man on Saturday morning. The male was last seen at a private airstrip around 11am, piloting a small plane.

Police say a small, single-engine plane crashed just east of the airstrip on Township Rd. 12. It was found around 6:19am Sunday.

The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity will not be released until a next-of-kin is notified.

The OPP along with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada are currently investigating.
