Plane Crash Victim Identified

Provincial police have released the name of a pilot killed in a plane crash in Oxford County.

Raymond Taylor, 67, of Norwich Township was killed when the small plane he was piloting crashed in Blandford Blenheim Township.

Oxford OPP were called about a missing man on Saturday morning. Taylor last seen at a private airstrip around 11am. His single-engine plane crashed just east of the airstrip on Township Rd. 12. It was found around 6:19am Sunday.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.

The OPP along with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada are currently investigating.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
