Overnight Street Parking Returns Friday

As the unofficial kickoff to summer quickly approaches, the city has announced it is once again lifting the ban on overnight street parking.

As of Friday, motorists will be able to park vehicles and motorcycles on most London streets between 3am and 5am without fear of a ticket and without the need of an overnight parking pass. The bylaw does stipulate that no vehicle will be allowed in the same spot for more than 12 hours and parking will remain prohibited in front of fire hydrants, on boulevards, and on front lawns.

The ease of restrictions does not apply to commercial vehicles, mobile homes, and trailers.

A list of streets where parking restrictions will remain in place can be found by clicking here.

Overnight parking restrictions return Labour Day.

Anyone with questions or concerns about the parking leniency is asked to call 519-661-4537.
