Spray Pads Opening This Weekend

It won't be as hot as Wednesday and Thursday, but this weekend will see the opening of the city's spray pads.

The City of London announced Thursday that the 14 spray pads will officially open for the season on Saturday. Locations of the spray pads can be found by clicking here.

The pads will be open each day from 9am to 9pm. A new spray pad at Constitution Park in northeast London is scheduled to open in early July. The park will also feature a new fully accessible field house.

The cooling misters at the North London Athletic Fields and Springbank Gardens, which are being billed as "a great way for park users, runners and cyclists to cool off while enjoying London’s amazing parks and trails," are operational.

The weekend forecast for London is calling for a high of 16 C on Saturday, while Sunday will see the temperature rise above 20 C, albeit with a chance of rain showers.
