Stratford Police Respond After Women Held At Gunpoint

Six people are facing charges after Stratford police responded to reports of a man holding two women at gunpoint.

Police say on Thursday around 3:40pm, officers responded to a south end hotel room, and safely arrested the six suspects.  A replica pellet pistol was also recovered at the scene.

Two of the suspects have been held for bail hearings, and the other four are young offenders and have been released with conditions and a promise to appear in court.  The suspects are facing charges for weapons related offences, robbery, and possession of cannabis marijuana.

Police are not releasing any further information as the incident is still under investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
