SIU Investigating After Man Injured At OPP Sebringville Detachment

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit is looking into an incident early Saturday morning involving a suspect arrested in St. Mary's.

A 27-year-old man was arrested shortly before 1am by the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police and brought to the Sebringville Detachment.

The OPP has not said why the suspect was arrested, but during his interaction with officers, he was injured and taken to the hospital.

The OPP says it will not comment further on the incident pending the investigation by the SIU.
