Stolen Vehicles, Car Parts Seized In Police Raid

A 60-year-old man is facing charges after police uncovered a number of stolen vehicles and vehicle parts during a bust on Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on May 8, police executed a search warrant at a property on Jubilee Rd., and seized the stolen property.

Larry Fisher, 60, of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation has been charged with five counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, three counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and six counts of altering/destroying/removing a vehicle identification number.

Fisher has been released with a promise to appear in a London court on June 13.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
