Charges Laid After Standoff

London police say charges have now been laid after a five-hour standoff.

Police surrounded a home on Trafalgar St. on Monday after learning that a man with outstanding warrants was inside. Trafalgar was closed between Anderson Ave. and Pegler St. for about five hours while police communicated with the man. He eventually surrendered peacefully.

On Wednesday, police announced that Justin Pawley, 26, has been charged with threats to cause bodily harm, threats to cause damage to personal property, mischief under $5,000, assault, and robbery.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
