London Man Charged In Goderich Convenience Store Robbery

A London man is facing charges after allegedly causing a scene and attempting to steal items at a Goderich convenience store.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Tuesday just before 1am, officers were called to the store on Victoria St. S after the man knocked over displays and jumped up onto the front counter. He also allegedly tried to steal items from the store.

When police arrived they found the man outside, but he allegedly refused to follow the officers' instructions, forcing them to use a Taser to place him under arrest.

A 20-year-old London man is now charged with robbery and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order. He remains in custody with a video court appearance scheduled for Friday.
