Woman Killed In Crash East Of London

A serious crash involving a three-wheeled motorcycle and a transport truck east of London has claimed the life of one person and left another in critical condition.

Middlesex OPP say the two vehicles collided on Dorchester Rd., north of Hwy. 401 around 1:25pm on Monday.

A female passenger on the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, and the motorcycle driver was rushed to hospital in critical condition. There is no word on the condition of the trucker.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.

Dorchester Rd. was closed to all northbound traffic from Hwy. 401 and southbound traffic from Donnybrook Dr. until around 6:30pm.  It has since been fully reopened.

This is the second major crash involving a transport truck in the London-area this week. The first came just six hours earlier at Wonderland Rd. S and Hamlyn St. when a car and big rig collided. The driver of the car had to be cut from the wreckage and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
