Attempted Murder Charge After Fight On First Nation

An 18-year-old man is charged with attempted murder after a fight earlier this week that sent two people to hospital with serious injuries.

Middlesex OPP say Jordan Hilliker from the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation was arrested without incident after he was cleared from the hospital earlier this week.

He's accused of trying to kill a 30-year-old man from the Oneida of the Thames First Nation at around 11am Sunday in the area of Fairgrounds Rd. and Oneida Rd. He is also charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breaching his bail conditions.

The victim was airlifted to a hospital in London with critical injuries, but police say he's now in "good condition."

The accused was suffering from "serious injuries" after the incident, but since then, he has been released from the hospital and appeared in court on Monday.

Officers say Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police are still investigating.
