Dorchester Rd. Crash Victim Identified

Provincial police have released the name of a woman who was killed when the motorcycle she was on collided with a transport truck.

Margaret Alexander, 77, of St. Marys was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Dorcester Rd. just north of Hwy. 401. She was riding on a three-wheeled motorcycle that collided with a transport truck around 1:25pm Monday.

The driver of the motorcycle, an 80-year-old man, was rushed to hospital with critical injuries. Police say he is currently listed in fair condition.

The driver of the transport truck wasn't hurt. The collision forced the closure of Dorchester Rd. for about five hours.

Police are still investigating.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
