According to Ontario Provincial Police, the collision occurred at approximately 4:39 pm Friday afternoon on Hwy. 401 at Culloden Line.
Officers responded to the collision around 5:15 pm and briefly closed two lanes of highway to assist with clean up and investigation.
Eight people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
All lanes were reopened around 5:45 pm.
Local runners will lace up this weekend in support of cancer research.
Over 40 candidates are competing for a spot on the Walpole Island First Nation band council in the upcoming election on Saturday, September 19.
The event was originally planned to commemorate Corunna almost becoming the capital of Canada.
A meet the candidates night is planned on Monday, September 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Maawn Doosh Gumig Community and Youth Centre.
The series will bring both aspiring and established business owners together on Tuesday evenings at the Maawn Doosh Gumig Community Centre.
Gates for the three-day fair will open at the Wyoming Fair Grounds on Main Street on Friday, September 18, at 5 p.m., with opening ceremonies beginning at 7 p.m.
