Attempted Murder Charge Laid In Frances St. Assault

A 46-year-old London man is charged with attempted murder after an assault in the east-end of the city left a woman fighting for her life.

London police were called to a home on Frances St. around 10:20pm on Monday for what they are calling a "serious assault."

When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from life threatening injuries. She was rushed to hospital where as of Tuesday morning she was listed in critical condition.

A man was arrested a short distance away from the home.

Dennis George, 46, of London is charged with one count of attempted murder.

Forensic investigators and members of the Major Crime Section continue to investigate.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
