Construction Fires Deemed Suspicious

London police say it appears fires that destroyed two homes under construction and damaged a third may have been deliberately set.

Police and the fire department were called to Lawson Rd. near Sandbar St. around 1:15am Friday about a fire that had broken out on a home construction site.

Three homes were on fire. Two were completely burned, while the third was partially burned. No injuries were reported.

Damage is estimated at $600,000. Police say the fires have been deemed suspicious in nature.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
