Victim Of Motorcycle Crash Identified

The OPP have released the name of a woman who was killed when her motorcycle collided with a car on Hwy. 401 in Oxford County.

Emergency crews were called to the westbound lanes of the highway at Foldens Line around 5:30pm on Friday. Police say a motorcycle hit the back of a Toyota car which was stopped in the middle lane.

The woman driving the motorcycle was thrown from the bike and critically injured. She was later pronounced dead.

She has been identified as Sandra Mione-Kent, 64, of Beamsville.

Police say the initial collision caused a chain reaction crash that involved three other vehicles. The drivers of those vehicles suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the collision is still being investigated. Police are asking anyone with any information to call Oxford OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
