Man Injured In Workplace Fall Has Died

Oxford OPP say the man who was rushed to hospital after a fall at Lafarge Canada has died.

Just after 10:35am Wednesday, police and ambulance crews were sent to the Lafarge facility on Road 68 in Zorra Township. A worker had fallen from a height of 10m and was taken to hospital with critical injuries.

On Thursday morning, police announced the man had died.

He has been identified as Walter Nuvoloni, 47, of Kingston.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
