Teen Charged After Shots Fired

London police say charges have now been laid after a home in the northeast end was hit with several gunshots.

Police were called around 1am on Saturday, June 17, regarding reports of what were believed to be gunshots in the area of Fanshawe Park Rd. E and Cedarhollow Blvd. The investigation revealed that a house on Cedarhollow had been damaged by gunfire.

Investigators say this was a targeted shooting and not a random incident. There were people in the house at the time, but there were no injuries.

A 17-year-old now faces several charges, including mischief endangering life, careless use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.

The teen has been in custody since July on other matters.

Police are still investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
