Pellet Gun Injury Leads Police To Grow-Op

Provincial police investigating after a man was hit with pellets from an air rifle stumbled upon a marijuana grow-op in Middlesex County.

Middlesex OPP were called to a home on Medway Rd., near Highbury Ave. around 5:10pm on Tuesday after a man was hit by pellets fired from a neighbouring property. The man was taken to hospital with minor injuries and later released.

Officers were investigating the pellet incident when they found a marijuana grow-op at a nearby property.

On Wednesday, police searched the property and arrested three people.

A 26-year-old man, 62-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, all from Middlesex Centre, are charged with production of marijuana, and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking - under 3 kg.

The 26-year-old man is also charged with assault with a weapon, discharging a firearm with intent, pointing a firearm, and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
