Two Arrested At London City Hall Demonstration

Two people have been arrested during a demonstration at London City Hall.

The London Police Service says the arrests were made during a Pediga rally Saturday, when the group met a crowd of anti-hate protestors.

The group is also known as Patriots of Canada Against the Islamization of the West, and a previous rally in August had also resulted in the group meeting with counter-demonstrators.

Police say about 100 people attended the demonstration on Saturday, with the Pediga group marching to City Hall. According to a news release, most of the demonstrators remained peaceful; however, two people were arrested at the scene.

London police are still investigating these incidents. Additional information will be provided when it becomes available.
