Crystal Meth, Cash, And Firearms Seized In St. Thomas Drug Bust

A pair of men are facing charges after St. Thomas police seized a large amount of drugs, firearms, and cash.

On Saturday at around 8am, a St. Thomas police officer stopped a car. According to police, the driver was arrested and the officer found crystal methamphetamine in his possession. Police say they searched the car and found more crystal methamphetamine, ammunition, empty gun holsters, and other weapons. Police also arrested and searched a passenger in the car. Police say they found a large amount of Canadian money in the passenger's possession.

Police then searched a home in St. Thomas. Police say they found a large quantity of an unknown white substance, various pills, a small quantity of crystal methamphetamine, cannabis, and two replica firearms.

The driver was charged with:

  • One count of possession of a controlled substance
  • One count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Two counts of failure to comply with recognizance
  • One count of possession of firearm
The passenger was charged with:
  • One count of possession of a controlled substance
  • One count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • One count of breach of probation
The home owner was charged with:
  • Two counts of possession of a controlled substance (crystal methamphetamine and cannabis)
In total, police say they seized approximately 18 g of crystal methamphetamine, 186 g of an unknown white substance, various pills, two replica firearms, and $2,900 of cash.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
