Striking employees at General Motors' CAMI Assembly will vote on a tentative contract deal Monday.
The 2,800 employees, represented by Unifor Local 88, will have a chance to decide on the deal which would end a month-long strike at the Ingersoll plant.
The two sides announced on Friday that a tentative agreement had been reached, but details will not be released until workers have seen the deal and it has been ratified.
Workers walked off the job on September 17 in a dispute over job security. The union had been urging GM for a written commitment that the CAMI plant will be the lead producer of the Chevrolet Equinox crossover utility vehicle.
The Detroit-based automaker had shifted production of its Terrain SUV to Mexico, costing hundreds of jobs at the CAMI plant.
Union members will beare invited to an information meeting before the vote. It starts at 10am Monday at the Western Fair Progress Building at 900 King St. in London.
