Eight Charged In $50K Drug Bust

Eight people are charged after police raids at three London homes turned up a gun, hydromorphone pills, cocaine, and oxycodone.

London police and RCMP officers with the Guns and Drugs Section searched the homes on Wonderland Rd. N, Platts Lane, and Richmond St. on Thursday.

Officers seized 5,540g of the suspected cutting agent phenacetin, 90g of cocaine, 109 hydromorphone tablets of varying strengths, 13 oxycodone pills, 11g of marijuana, and a cocaine press. The estimated value of the drugs is over $50,000.

A loaded .40 calibre firearm and approximately $22,000 in cash was also found.

Seven people from London, Etobicoke, and Hamilton have been charged with multiple offences including possession for the purpose of trafficking.

A 25-year-old London woman is charged with three guns offences including unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
