Vandals Smash Vehicle 40 Times

Police in St. Thomas are investigating after vandals destroyed a Lexus in a targeted attack.

The older model Lexus was hit at least 40 times with an unknown object on Confederation Dr. early Thursday morning. Police say dents covered all sides of the vehicle and every window was smashed.

"This vehicle was targeted and to cause that much damage, the mischief would have taken some time and possibly seen or heard by someone," said St. Thomas police in a written statement.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
