Driver Arrested in Tillsonburg Crash

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a collision in Tillsonburg.

Ontario Provincial Police in Oxford County say that the man drove his van into a hydro pole around 3am Saturday on Broadway St and Lisgar Ave.

The driver was arrested at the scene and taken to the OPP detachment in Tillsonburg.

As a result of an injury sustained while in custody, the OPP has called in the Ontario Special Investigations Unit to look into the incident.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
