Knights Tame Bulldogs 3-2 in Shootout

Max Jones scored the shootout winner as the London Knights beat the Bulldogs 3-2 in Hamilton Saturday.

It was the fourth straight win for the Knights, though as of early Saturday evening they remained in last place in the OHL Midwest Division.

Cliff Pu opened the scoring for London, with his third goal of the season at exactly five minutes into the opening period. The score remained 1-0 in favour of the Knights until the opening seconds of the second period when Hamilton's Marian Studenic tied things up. The Bulldogs then took the lead on a goal from T.J. Fergus on the power play.

The Knights made the score 2-2 when Sam Miletic evened things up in the third period. The overtime period failed to produce a winner, before Jones' shootout goal gave London the win.

Joseph Raaymakers collected 29 saves in goal for the Knights, while Kaden Fulcher took the loss for the Bulldogs and got 34 saves.

The Knights travel to Guelph Sunday afternoon to take on the Storm.
