Crash Sends Two To Hospital

A crash in Oxford County has left two people in hospital, one of them with life threatening injuries.

Oxford OPP say the single vehicle crash happened on Oxford Rd. 17 between the 11th Line and 10th Line in East Zorra-Tavistock Township. Around 10:15pm Tuesday, a two door Honda car was going east on Road 17 when it went out of control and off the road, hitting a hydro pole and a tree.

The male driver suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. However, the passenger was ejected from the car. The 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries described by police as "life threatening."

Police are still investigating the crash and are asking anyone who may have witnessed it to call Oxford County OPP at 519-485-6554.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
