UPDATE: Back-To-Back Crashes Cause Closure On Hwy. 402

Police have reopened the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 402 in Kerwood following two back-to-back collisions.

The Ontario Provincial Police reported the first crash on Saturday around 2:39pm, and the second at around 3:27pm, in the area of Hickory Dr.

Callers reported that traffic was being diverted off the highway.  All lanes were reopened at around 4:20pm, but delays are still expected.

It is unknown if anyone has been injured and no further details have been provided at this time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
