Infant Unharmed In Crash Involving Cement Truck

Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a cement truck in Zorra Township.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday around 10am, the cement truck and an SUV collided while travelling along 37th Line.

The driver and passenger of the SUV were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries, while a 4-month-old infant that was also in the vehicle was unharmed.  The driver of the cement truck was also uninjured.

The collision caused around 200 L of diesel fuel to spill onto the roadway and into a nearby drainage ditch. The Ministry of the Environment has since been notified.

Police say an investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
