Driver Flees After Hitting Pole

London police brought out the K-9 team to search for a driver who took off after hitting a hydro pole.

It happened over the noon hour on Oxford St. near Adelaide St. A mini-van slammed into the pole, breaking it off near its base. Police say the driver then got out of the van and ran away.

The driver is described as a Caucasian man, likely in his 20s, approximately 5’7”. He was wearing a red jacket with a white and black hoodie underneath, black backpack, and possibly a blue hat

Police have closed Oxford St. between Adelaide St. and William St.
