Lightning Knock Down Titans 115-106 In OT

The London Lightning extended their winning streak to seven with a 115-106 overtime victory over the KW Titans on Friday.

At the end of the first quarter the Lightning trailed 28-20, and the Titans extended their lead to 50-37 heading into halftime. However, London fought back in the third frame to take a one-point lead heading into the fourth.  The Titans were able to sink a three-pointer at the buzzer to tie the game 99-99 at the end of regulation.

The extra quarter saw the Lightning surge past the Titans to win with a nine-point advantage.

Royce White scored a game-high 37 points for London and had seven rebounds. Mo Bolden put up another 18 points, while Garrett Williamson and Doug Herring Jr. each had 14.

The Lightning will take on the Niagara River Lions next on Sunday at 2pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
