London Man Charged In Fanshawe Attack

Assault charges have been laid against a 34-year-old London man after a college student was attacked with a steel pipe at Fanshawe College's St. Thomas campus.

Three students got into a fight in one of the classrooms at the campus located at 120 Bill Martyn Pkwy. around 11:15am on Friday. St. Thomas police say the altercation ended with one student being hit with a pipe and another taking off before officers arrived.

The student who was hit with the pipe was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injures. He has since been released.

Police arrested a 34-year-old London man in connection to the attack on Monday. He is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and one count of assault causing bodily harm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
