'Bad Samaritans' Snatch Prescription Pills

Woodstock police are reminding the public to be vigilant about who they let inside their homes after prescription medication was stolen from a house by a group of people who first shoveled the homeowner's driveway.

Police say four people offered to help shovel the driveway of a home on Stonegate Dr. on Monday. After clearing the snow, the homeowner invited the four people inside for hot chocolate and goodies.

After the group of snow clearing volunteers left, the homeowner noticed medication had been snatched and called police.

All four have been identified and are said to be known to police.

The incident has prompted police to remind the public to only let people inside your home that you know and trust.
