Knights Trade Sam Miletic To IceDogs

For the fourth time in four days, the London Knights have traded a veteran player.

Overage forward and top scorer Sam Miletic was traded to the Niagara IceDogs in exchange for draft picks, the team announced on Tuesday.

"We are very proud of what Sam has been able to accomplish as a member of the London Knights,” said Knights General Manager Rob Simpson. “He has a chance to go to a very young and competitive team where he will be able to compete for a championship. We would like to thank him for all of his passion and dedication he brought to our franchise.”

In exchange for Miletic, the Knights will receive three second round picks, one this year, and two others in 2024, and 2025, and a third round pick in 2022.

“These picks will allow us to continue to build a competitive franchise for years to come,” said Simpson.

The OHL trade deadline for players 19 and under is noon on Wednesday.
