Teens Accused Of Mall Assault Turn Themselves In

London police have arrested a pair of 14-year-old girls in connection with an assault investigation at White Oaks Mall.

Police say the girls turned themselves in at London Police Headquarters at around 12:45am Tuesday.

The girls are expected to appear in a London court Tuesday to answer to assault charges, but they cannot be identified under provisions in the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

They were arrested after two 17-year-old girls were assaulted inside a store at White Oaks Mall at around 6:20pm on Tuesday, January 6.

One of the victims was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, while the second victim wasn't seriously hurt.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
