Lightning Come Back For OT Win Over The Edge

The London Lightning extended their win streak to 11 games with a come-from-behind 121-115 overtime win against the St. John's Edge on Wednesday.

At the end of the first quarter, the Lightning trailed St. John's by ten points who were able to extend their lead to 57-39 by halftime. The Edge remained ahead of London with a 67-83 advantage in the third frame, but the Lightning battled back to only trail by nine points with 1:42 to go in the fourth. Doug Herring Jr. tied the game for London with a last second point that forced the game into OT.

London's win streak remained intact when they took the lead in extra time to win with a six point lead.

Royce White scored a game-high 24 points and eight rebounds for London, while Garrett Williamson added another 23 and two rebounds.

The Lightning will travel to PEI on Friday to take on the Island Storm at 6pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
