Knights Fall To Rangers 3-2 In A Shootout

The London Knights dropped a 3-2 decision to the Kitchener Rangers in a shootout on Tuesday.

Alex Formenton scored the first goal of the game to give London the lead 5:53 into the first period. Alex Turko added another one for the Knights just under a minute later, but the Rangers responded with a goal of their own to cut London's lead in half heading into the second.

Kitchener scored 5:42 into the second frame to tie things up, and after no scoring in the third, the game was forced into overtime.  No goals were scored in OT as well, and the game ended in a shootout with the Rangers coming out on top.

London goaltender Joseph Raaymakers made 23 saves out of 25 shots on net during regular play.

The Knights will take on the Owen Sound attack next on Friday. The puck drops at 7:30pm at Budweiser Gardens
