Knights Withstand Attack 7-4

Alex Formenton led the London Knights to a 7-4 victory over the Owen Sound Attack on Friday.

Formenton quickly scored 1:56 into the game, but Owen Sound countered with a goal of their own to tie things up heading into the second.

The Attack took a 2-1 advantage early in the second frame, but Tyler Rollo and Liam Foudy both scored to put London back in the lead. Owen Sound added another goal after 12:39, but Connor McMichael scored for the Knights 12 seconds later and Formenton added another to make it 5-3 heading into the third.

The Attack continued to fight towards the lead with a goal 3:29 into the final frame, however, Formenton scored to complete a hat-trick with just over a minute left in the game. Foudy scored his second of the night in the last seconds to cap off London's win.

Knights goaltender Joseph Raaymakers made 38 saves out of 42 shots on net.

The Knights are at home again on Sunday to face off against the Guelph Storm at 2pm.
