Lake Effect Snow Moving Into London, Woodstock

Another snowstorm is on the way for the London area and it could make for some nasty road conditions Friday.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement calling for a band of lake effect snow off of Southern Lake Huron that will start hitting the London and Woodstock areas Friday morning and continue into the afternoon.

At this point, forecasters are expecting around 5 cm of snow to blanket most of the region while local amounts of up to 10 cm and even snow squalls are still possible.

Low visibility during heavier bursts of snow and uncleared roads could make for poor driving conditions, so motorists are being advised to give themselves extra time to reach their destination.
