St. Thomas Woman Arrested After Carrying Dagger

St. Thomas police say a woman was arrested after carrying a dagger down the street.

Police say sometime Saturday evening, a citizen contacted police to report that a woman was walking on Balaclava St. while carrying a dagger.

According to police, a 41-year-old St. Thomas woman was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.

Police say they also found methamphetamine while searching her.

The woman was found to be in breach of numerous court-ordered conditions as well. Police say she will have to face several warrants from different agencies after she is finished with St. Thomas court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
