One Man Arrested After Disturbance On Catherine St.

One man was arrested after what police call a "disturbance" at a residence on Catherine St. in Thames Center.

The West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and the West Region Mobile Support Unit were deployed to the area just after 5:30pm Sunday.

Catherine St. was closed between Elgin Rd. and Hunt Rd. until 1:45am Monday.

No other details have been released.

Police also say the man in custody did not pose a threat to public safety.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
